Kido spells are powerful tools of the Shinigami, and fall into two main categories, with a third category being a simple one. The first two categories are all numbered in terms of power, from 1, being the weakest, to 99, being the strongest.

The first category being Hado, or Way of Destruction. These spells are all offensive in nature.

The second category is Bakudo, or Way of Binding. These spells are all defensive in nature, or, as the name implies, are ways to bind opponents.

The third and final category is Kaido, or Turn Way. This is a universal spell that is used to heal either an ally or an opponent, so long as the person being healed is not Hollow in nature.

There also exists an unofficial category, known as Forbidden Kido. These can exist in any of the previous categories, and are forbidden due to them manipulating the laws of the universe, such as Time and Space, or requiring a sacrifice of self. Using these spells can earn a lengthy sentence in either the Maggot's Nest, or the GCUP, depending on the severity.

The orb can be small, medium, or large, depending on how much energy is put into it.
#32: Ōkasen (Yellow Fire Flash): Unknown incantation. This spell generates a small yellow orb which, if used in conjuction with a Zanpakuto, widens to the length of the Zanpakuto before firing a wide beam of energy. A hand can be used as the catalyst, but it produces a much smaller arc.
