General Wear

Jack likes to think of himself as a professional, and as such self he likes to dress as one. Wearing a nice beige trench coat with a maroon dress shirt underneath it. Due to his "hidden" nature he keeps his weapon hidden in the sleeve of his trench coat strapped onto his right arm far enough that it is hidden but close enough that he can grab it quickly if needed.

Shikai Apperance

When Jack activates his shikai his trench coat seems to become less bagging almost fitting around his form like a second skin. It also turns grey like his animal form, the now almost skin tight coat does not limit his abilites as it flows around him as he moves.

Bankai Apperance

When Jack activates his bankai his coat goes from just being grey to turning into a almost faux wolf pelt coat. Even with fur coming from the coat. He also gains a hood that looks like a wolf head. Which covers everything but his face and is a second skin like the rest of the coat.

The Psyche

Redeeming Qualities: Jack at heart is loyal, and finds it difficult to not help those that he has attached to. Even if those that he is loyal don't always want his help he gives it fully and without hesitation anyways.

Jack is also a forgiveing person, able to accept that sometimes people do bad things for good reasons. As such if someone asks for him to forgive them he will generally do it unless given a very good reason not to.

Negative Qualities: While Jack is highly loyal to his friends and companions, with strangers and enemies he has no such loyalty and has what seems to be a predatory nature to them.

Jack is also a prideful creature and does not take insults to himself well. Or if someone doubts his abilites to do things. Even people he considers friends need to be careful how they joke about him or them may find themselves being bitten by an angry wolf.
Likes:

Friends: Jack likes and enjoys his friends. And cherishes them all.
Food: Jack enjoys eating food. He most enjoys it when eating with friends though eating by himself is still something he enjoys.
Fighting: While Jack is no brute he enjoys fighting. Wether it is a spar or a duel to the death. He has fun with it either way.

Dislikes:

Fake people: Jack is a straight forward person and he does not like people who hide their emotions or are fake with him about them.
Politics: Similar to the above one Jack is not a fan of politics and all the general issues that bubble up from dealing with governments. Even though he knows they are necessary he thinks they are annoying.
Betrayal: It is not an easy feat to become friends with Jack. And as such people that betray that trust are people that Jack hates. And is one of the few things that he can not easily forgive. And if he does he will not forget it.

Personal Habits: Jack likes to think of himself as a professional and as such tries to act such even if in a battle. Which can be difficult when in a life or death situation. But Jack thinks to highly of himself to allow such a trivial thing to make him look bad.
Goals:
Short-term Goals: Finish his learning of both the shimigami history on while he was an outcast. And finish his other learning of the laws in which getting brought back into the shimigami fold.
Long-term Goals: Finish his "isolation" and get brought back into the shimigami order and to go back to his friends in the eighith division.
General Personality: As said above first and foremost Jack is a professional despite his... firing he won't let a small thing like that hold him back in acting like the model shimigami he was. He is also a prideful shimigami, though he does not consider that a negative. After all it really only is a bad thing if he is not as good as he thinks he is. Of course he is also a very loyal person even if he has rough exterior that can be a pain to chip through. But once you have he freely gives everything he can to help his friends.
Something Special: After spending so much time as his animal form it bleeds over into his human form giving him better senses. While it is nowhere as acute as when he actually takes his animal form he is far better then the average human.

The Power

Vaizard

Zanpakutō Name: Hauringu Okami
Zanpakutō Name English Translation: Howling Wolf

Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance: Hauringu Okami is a long tanto 12 inches in length that curves near the top almost like a fang. The blade is an almost bright white in the center, with the outside is a shiny grey colour
Release Phrase: Howl with the sounds of many Hauringu Okami

Shikai Appearance: Hauringu Okami in shikai takes the form of gloves with claws on the finger tips, the claws are five inches long, with the grey colouring on the glove and the claws the white colour.
Shikai Ability: Using reshi Hauringu Okami is able to control wind in the near vicinity of Jack. That can take the form of creating projectiles of wind or small streams to redirect attacks alunched at him

Bankai Name: Hauringu Okami no Ikari
Bankai Appearance: After activating bankai Haruingu Okami no Ikari takes the form of the same gloves as in shikai however instead of small claws over each finger it takes the form of a tekagi-shuko with three long blades. slightly curved at the very end for better slashing.
Bankai Ability: With the increased power from bankai Jack's ability to use reshi to control wind increases. This means he is able to create bigger projects and even walls of wind to help him. Though the big things he uses it for is to make large slashes of wind capable of cutting into flesh with ease, and the range increases greatly with use of his Bankai

The Spirit

Spirit Appearance: Hauringu Omaki could almost be mistaken for a werewolf. As he has "absorbed" the wolf part of Jack's personality and made it his own. With a wolf like head and fur covering his entire body. He is also fairly tall reaching about 7ft 8in in height.
Spirit Personality: Since he mostly represents the wolf part of Jack. He has jack's loyalty and protectiveness just a few notches more then him. He is also straight forward when dealing with enemies. After all this is a kill or be killed world. With him thinking that Jack's forgiving nature will get the both of them killed.
Inner World: Jack's inner world is a clash of human and animal. Mostly taking the form of a city, however one that has been diluted and mostly taken over. Trees reaching up into the skies from the roads and streets. Mosses and ivy climbing up the sides of buildings strangling the metal and wood. Some parts the city has been completely consumed looking like an average forest. though those parts are rare.

The Demon

Inner Hollow Name: Hauringu Okami
Inner Hollow Appearance: After nearly dying from a hollow's bite which was slowly killing Hauringu Okami he fully "fused" with the wolf aspect of Jack's wolf form taking its appearance. Now looking like a large black wolf with white markings instead of Jack's normal grey.
Mask Appearance: Jack's mask takes the form of a wolf mask that is grey with black and white markings on it. Large enough to fully cover his face. However only his eyes are visible through the mask.
Hollow Form Appearance: Jack's hollow form could be mistaken for a very large wolf. Even if in reality he is not actually one. They grey that had been part of his normal wolf form is gone to be replaced with the black skin and fur of a hollow. It is a looming creature with a height at about 6ft at his shoulders with a hole where his heart should be and a mask covering his face a sleek white colour. The mask looking wolf like as well

The Past

History:

Pre 1500 (alive)

Jack was a child without a care in the world. Enjoying spending most of his time in the woods around his parents house. Of course he helped around the house, with his father being a farmer and his mother a tailer. While they lived fairly far from the town they were not so far that it took more then 15 minutes to walk there.

By the time Jack had reached the age of 10 he was able to do most of the chores on the farm by himself, and learned the basics of making clothes and was able to repair them. His adventures into the woods around his childhood home had become bolder going deeper then he had ever before running back to the safety of his home.

When Jack became 15 he was able to do everything on the farm that his father once had done. While he sometimes got help from his father when needed he mostly did it on his own. And he was able to do tailoring as a job, though he was nowhere near as good as his mother at it. as a gift from his father since he was almost a man. He started learning archery to keep himself safe during his forest treks.

At the age of 20 his father passed away from a disease that he nor his mother knew he had. It was a sudden upturn for the both of them and Jack threw himself into working to keep his mother happy and safe. With his bow in tow he went even deeper into the woods. With the safety of his bow he sometimes would spend a few nights in the woods. Learning its secrets.

And sadly for Jack that confidence would be his death while he was 22. Going into the woods to get something special for his mom he came across a bear. One that was angry, or at least that is what Jack thinks since it attacked him without warning. Even with his bow the bear did not go down and it charged into him knocking his weapon away. Jack felt anger at the bear and at his weakness

Wishing for the strength to win this he felt something deep inside him. Something that urged him to fight and use its power to win. But Jack was to slow and the bear clubbed him with one of its paws. Killing Jack in a single blow. But thankfully that is not the end, in fact it is the beginning.

1500 To 1550

When Jack came to Soul Society he was confused. He had no memory of when he was alive. But he was still quickly given a ticket and sent off with the rest of the newly dead to his new home. While he was able to make a job for himself as a tailor, which he found himself good enough at to make a living he still had questions.

Questions that he would not get answers to. Which he was fine with, and for two years he had a nice if not perfect life living among the dead. One day however he saw a shimigami, he had heard about them before however this was his first time seeing one. And he felt the same power inside himself as when he was alive.

Of course he had no idea about that. But he reached for it, with the hopes it could impress the shimigami. What he did not expect was to turn into a wolf. A side effect of this was he unleashed some spiritual pressure. Small enough that the shimigami only noticed it because of how close he was.

That was enough for him to suggest to him to go to the academy to become a soul reaper. And Jack found himself liking that idea. After turning back he went to the academy. Hoping to pass the entrance exam, he found that the power which was dormant in him before easily came out not that he knew about it.

And just as last time he was able to unleash enough spiritual pressure that he was accepted into the academy. Jack was a person with few friends in the academy. And while he was not the best at fighting he found that turning into a wolf gave him the ability to do a bite before the person could register what he did and allowing him to back away from a retaliatory strike.

Of course it was less likely to work once people figured out what he could do. Though even then some of the students in spars found it difficult to switch from fighting a normal human to then fighting an animal.

While his teachers were not fans of this they did not stop him from doing that, mainly because he was fairly okay at his studies. While he was not the best with kido he picked up zanjutsu fairly easily and was pretty good with his blade. Though he never quite picked up fighting with his fists since he was a bigger fan of letting his animal form do that fighting.

Thankfully he finally graduated after 6 years of training. Even if he was not the best he was good enough to go to the thirteenth division. Where he was able to make some friends.

Jack was sent to a small town in japan called Kankaro. Which had the highest concentration of spiritual energy in the world. Making it very dangerous for souls and humans. And the first forty years passed by in relative silence. Doing his work as a member of the thirteenth division.

1550 To 1600

While he did his job throughout his time in the late 1500s Jack focused on training with his Zanpakto. Trying to learn its name and gains its trust. It was slow going at first and took a while.

Even more so since his weapon did not trust him. At least not as much as it should in Jack's thought. Around 1560 Jack hit a block in training and decided to focus on his work.

Fourty years passed by before finally one day near the start of the 1600s his weapon finally decided to trust him enough that when Jack asked for his name he gave it.

Allowing Jack to activate the first release that a shimigami learns. Shikai, of course learning the weapon's name and getting shikai and knowing how to use it are two entirely seperate things.

1600 To 1650

Jack spent a lot of time in the next twenty years to learn how to use his shikai. And when he thought he was good enough with it he went into his work as a shimigami with more vigor. Empowered by his new ability, of course that folly almost cost him his life when dealing with a particularly dangerous hollow.

And his ability to become a wolf helped me more then a few times when dealing with not only hollows but souls as well. At least when dealing with some kids souls, as they trusted him more when he was furry sometimes then when not.

Ten years after finishing his training with his shikai Jack learned that one of his friends died while fighting a hollow. Which sent a deep pain throughout him, learning that he was unable to help a friend because of his duties as a shimigami.

After requesting and it getting approved Jack's assignment was switched. He went from japan to a new place that had need of a shimigami. It was a new settlement on the new land discovered by the english.

And Jack went into his work with gusto spending twenty years keeping the human souls safe from hollows and making sure no human soul stayed behind for to long.

1650 To 1700

After getting into a rhythm he kept his ear on the wall for his friends that way another would not die. Since this place was also a lot calmer in terms of hollow activity Jack decided to continue working with his shikai to get better at it.

And the calm before the storm set him up for another failure. This time through his lack of power then confidence in newfound power. Near the start of the 1700s a hollow showed up.

One unlike anything that Jack had dealt with before. And with his shikai he was able to fight it for some time. But not before it severely wounded him and killed a handful of people by the time Jack sent it away.

With their deaths on his mind Jack blamed his lack of power as the reason the hollow was able to kill as many people as he did.

So Jack had a new plan, since hollows were not that much of a threat here he focused on getting new power. The next release that a shimigami could obtain. He knew getting bankai would be a long trek but it was one he decided was worth it.

And as such he went deep into his training after learning what to do in order to be powerful enough to save the people that died because he was weak. His pride would not allow another humiliating defeat like that to happen again.

1700 To 1800

And as the years went on he slowly learned how to gain bankai. While he still did his duties required of him. He was far more distant not only with his friends but with everyone.

And for him learning to bring his spirit into the outside world was a hurdle that took him far to long in his thinking.

After all by the time he was finished learning how to actually bring his spirit into the outside world the colonies he was protecting was trying to become independent.

Not that he cared much for it being focused on gaining bankai. This determination in gaining bankai would eventually pay off for him.

After almost 100 years he could finally make his spirit come out into the world. And with that he could finally continue onwards to train his bankai. Though that would take a while.

1800 To 1850

And train his bankai he would. Not just for ten years like most take to master, but for twenty years to make sure he can use its full capabilites.

Which was not easy since his spirit did not think he was ready for the full power of his bankai and withheld a portion of the power from bankai.

At least till it finally thought he could actually fully use it which would not happen for thirty years. And with the new country the United States actually being its own thing and growing much bigger.

And with a few more shimigami sent to it to help keep it safe. With there being a lot more people however it was difficult to keep up with all the souls and a lot more became hollows then Jack was willing to admit.

And for the next twenty years it was actually pretty difficult for Jack to keep up with the hollows that seemed to flock to this place for a while.

He did not ask for help because his pride would not allow it. And sadly for Jack what he did not know is that would be his fall from grace as a shimigami.

1850 To 1900

The start of the fall was something that Jack did not realize happened till much later. After all by the time the fall starts he had already been a shimigami for 400 years and thought nothing except very powerful hollows and shimigami could touch him.

And as such he took far more risky chances and battles then he needed to. After all why would he need help for anything but the most powerful of hollows with bankai.

a few days after his "birthday" Or at least the day he died and became a soul, he was walking through the outskirts of a city that he thought had hollows near it.

Eventually he found 4 and dispatched them with ease before a 5th one that looked vaguely like a snake ambushed him and bit into him injecting him with a large quantity of hollow reshi before he killed it with his weapon.

But sadly for him the damage was done. He fell to the ground in pain as it filled his body with unbearable heat. He had enough time to get up and start walking through the woods going to a cave that he had found to train his bankai.

He collapsed onto the ground once he reached inside it. shaking from the pain coursing through his blood. after about a minute of it Jack tried to escape the pain the only way he could think of.

Taking the form of a wolf hoping that it would help him. Not that it did because his zanpakto spirit had thought of that before him taking shelter inside the form of a wolf hiding behind the simple instincts in an attempt to ease his pain.

And to stop him from dying as well. It worked... Kinda, while it protected the spirit's core idenity it did not help the absolute pain that came from the hoollow's energy.

Causing Jack to become a hollow, a hollow in the form of a wolf, and caused rampage and terror.

1900 To 2000

For a month Jack rampaged as a hollow tromping through the woods. Hiding from the pain inside his animal form, stuck there like his spirit unable to escape or get out.

Till one day it suddenly hit Jack what happened and the memories of what happened and his hollow form fell apart around him. Freeing him not only from the hold of being a hollow but also allowing him to go back to his human form.

While glad about being free he worried about his spirit who must have suffered as much as he did. And so back in the cave where he trained bankai he went to his inner world which had been over taken by nature.

Finding his spirit as a wolf instead of the more man like form Jack was confused. And the spirit told him what it did in desperation. Seeing the hollow like wolf it dawned on Jack what happened. With a sigh he knew what had to be done despite the fact that he really did not want a trial.

But rules are rules and so he went back to his superiors to explain what happened. Like he expected there was a trial set for his crime of becoming a vaizard.

After explaining what happened and finishing his side of the story the punishment was decided. Since he became one unwillingly his punishment was a simple one.

No more heavy duty work in the land of the living. He would be a desk jockey for the next century. Jack is okay with this, while he does not like being punished for what amounts to an accident he understands the need.

And as such for the next 100 years he carriers the light duties given to him with the same vigor he gave his normal duty. And on a plus side he can see some of his friends more so it is not all bad.

2000 To 2020

Finally after a century of being a desk jockey and being watched with a magnifying glass Jack is finally done with his punishment.

Finally able to go back to his duties of watching over the world of the living. Of course again he understands the need for it but he is insulted they did not trust in his abilities to not be corrupted by the influence of the hollow powers now running through his veins.

And for the next twenty years after his probation is done he continued to follow the straight and narrow using his mask only when required and never in the company of another shimigami.

Jack fights a adjuchas class hollow and is able to kill it with shikai being heavily injured in the process

After a hundred years of training Jack unlocked his bankai

Jack finishes training his bankai to its full capabilites

1850

Jacks spirit stops holding back a portion of Jacks power in bankai

1899

Jack gets infected with hollow reishi by a hollow. And the hollowfication process starts

Jack rampages as a hollow for a month before he finishes his hollowfication and fully becomes a vaizard

He goes back to his leaders and gets a trial for becoming a vaizard and gets sentenced to a century of grunt work

2000

Jack is finished with his sentence and becomes a fully active shimigami in the world of the living again

Roleplaying Sample: Jack looks around and gives a sigh. thinking to himself 'Man it is weird to think that I am finally free to just do my normal job and not worry about stepping out of line for what happened to me'

Of course that gave him more free time then he was used to and is enjoying one of his favorite past times. Laying about in the sunlight no worrying about anything. Looking down at the small town that was his first assignment. It really had grown.

"Of course now that I have found a good place to rest a hollow is going to attack and force me to do something besides sleep" Jack speaks to himself, and as if on time he senses a hollow fairly close to his postion.

'Well a shimigami's work is never done' Jack thinks to himself with happiness that he can get back to doing what he loves.
