The Basics

Name :  Va'tet Tsuyosa
English Translation :  Va'tet means "The Silver Sun"
Species :  Vastine Amorte
Race : Va'tet is an Arrancar, formerly a Shinigami who fully Hollowfied
Gender : Va'tet is female.
Date of Birth : February 29th, in the year 996.
Appearance Age : Va'tet is physically seventeen years old.
Actual Age : Va'tet is 1023 years old.
Organization and Rank : Va'tet was formerly head of the now defunct Recognizance Team in the Gotei. After failing her last mission and being captured by the Negativas, she is now Arrancar #106, serving the Negativas Primera.

Height : As most Vastine Amorte tend to be, Va'tet is very tall. She stands at six feet and two inches tall, not counting her boots or wings. Her boots add an extra inch to her height, while her wings, fully extended, add an extra four inches to her height. This means that Va'tet stands at six feet and seven inches.
Weight : As with all Vastine Amorte, her body is deceptively light. Va'tet only weighs seventy pounds, however in her armor she weighs ninety three pounds.
Hair color : Va'tet has white hair, though it is not uniformly white. It varies from the purest white to a very pale straw color, and this coloration continues on her feathers. The feathers on her wings and legs are mostly, but not all, very clean white, though there are some that are darker near the edges.
Eye color : Like all Vastine Amorte, Va'tet has eyes that are swirls of color around an incredibly black pupil. Her irises are large and fill almost the whole eye, and are constantly spinning circles of colors, reds, blues, browns, greens, yellows and whites.
General Appearance : Va'tet is a very tall young Vastine Amorte woman. Va'tet stands at over six feet tall, but like most Vastine weighs very little, allowing her wings, of which she has four, to carry her. She does not wear a typical Arrancar's garments.
Va'tet has white-blonde hair, and four white wings. Her wings can come together and then fold to fit along her back, but they cannot fold up against her spine. Her wings are visible even when folded because they're so large. Her upper wings are half the size of her lower wings and arc upwards while the lower wings spread either outwards or downward. She can bend her wings forward to cover herself.
Like all Vastine Amorte, Va'tet has cone-shaped ears ending in tufts of feathers, but her ears are hidden by her hair, which is just long enough to frame her face and cover her neck. Her face is a plain sort of pretty, with the Vastine Amorte swirl-style eyes, though hers are more bird-like, with irises that fill the whole eye. She has a short, sharp nose. She has a soft jaw and very smooth, wrinkle-less skin. On the lower half of her face is a red and white beak, remnants of her brief time as a Hollow. Oddly, her Hollow Hole is located inside the mask fragment; Va'tet has no mouth at all, but her beak can open to reveal that.
Instead of wearing an Arrancar's robes, Va'tet instead wears feminine but knightly armor. The armor is pink with metal paulderons set over a leather and fabric tunic-like breastplate. The sleeves are sown to her gauntlets, which cover the entire forearm and1 the backs of her hands, tapering to her middle fingers, where a fabric loop holds the gauntlet in place. Her upper arms are covered in leather, which is in turn covered in ruffled fabric. Both her shoulders have small paulderons, triangular prisms of metal that look rather ornate with jewels set into them. The paulderons in turn are connected to armor across her shoulders that turns into a high metal collar around her neck. Her chest is covered by leather, with thin metal over that, over which fabric is stretched. The breast plate does not cover her stomach, which is covered by a leather shirt tucked into a metal plate skirt. Under the skirt of metal plates, she wears dark-red leather pants. Her feet are usually covered by boots, but she frequently goes barefoot.
Va'tet carries a broken sword on her right hip. The handle is green, and the blade is only a few inches long, where it has been snapped off. This is all that remains of her Shinigami Zanpakuto, and is now her Arrancar Zanpakuto.

The Lost Agent (WIP) Receiv10

The Psyche

Redeeming Qualities :

  • Loyal- Va'tet had absolute loyalty to the Gotei. She believed that the Gotei is always just and that any commands given by the Commander should be obeyed until her dying breath. Now that she is an Arrancar, that loyalty has been shifted to the Negativas Primera, whom convinced her that she was born in Las Noches.

  • Dedicated- Once Va'tet has been given a mission, she will see the mission through to the end. No matter how bad things get, she will never let the thoughts of failure or giving up cross her mind.

  • Honest- Having been raised by Vastine Amorte, specifically Ma'kine, Va'tet does not believe in lying or cheating in any way or shape. She doesn't believe in using underhanded tactics or trickery in battle or for social or personal gain. Like most Vastine Amorte, she is wholly honest and straight forward in all aspects of her life. This facet of her personality remains even after her memories were erased.

  • Merciful- Va'tet gives her enemies two chances, regardless of how badly she is outnumbered. The first chance is to abandon the fight before it starts, the second is to surrender before she dismembers them.

  • Trusting- Because Va'tet would never lie or cheat, she assumes everyone else is the same. Through the manipulations of the Arrancar and Hollows, she has been led to believe that she serves them solely and that they are the ones maintaining balance.

  • Honorable- Va'tet would rather fight a one-on-one battle, and uphold every promise she has made, than do something even the slightest bit wrong.

Negative Qualities :

  • Naive- Va'tet is blissfully unaware of most people's true intentions and will take things at face value. She's unaware that people can be underhanded and purposely alter their behaviors through drugs. She assumes all actions are conscious, planned decisions.

  • Overly Trusting- Due to her naivety, Va'tet believes people whenever they make a promise or say they will do something. This has led to her being abandoned in Hueco Mundo for so long, though she holds no resentment over having been abandoned as she has been convinced she always lived in Las Noches

  • Uninformed- Due to having spent so long in Hueco Mundo, Va'tet is unaware of any technological or social changes that have occurred in the last six hundred years. She relies on the other Arrancar and Hollows to learn how to interact with anything unfamiliar.

  • Cold- Due to the cruel world she grew up in, constantly fighting for her life, Va'tet has essentially lost the ability to sympathize and emphasize with others. She has also deeply suppressed her emotions, hiding them behind a cool, hard mask of reality.

  • Harsh- Due to her inability to relate to others on an emotional level, and her inability to lie, Va'tet "speaks" the absolute truth, unclouded by emotions. She will, without wavering, tell somebody how they will lose, or how much pain they will be in.

  • Literal Minded- Va'tet does not understand concepts of metaphors, hyperbole or lies. She takes everything as it is said, exactly how it is said.

  • Unforgiving- Va'tet, though merciful, does not forgive those who wronged her. She repays their unkindness with absolute destruction and maximum agony in battle.

  • Creepy- Va'tet does not make facial expressions or give much away through her body language. Being a master of stealth, she usually has very little presence until she wants herself to be known. This often leads to others not knowing she is behind them until her energy is suddenly visible.

  • Mute- Va'tet has no mouth, and as such, cannot actually speak aloud. However, those Arrancar closest to her can still sense her intent and understand what she wants most of the time. Others, however, will only receive the cold stares of the girl.

  • Mentally broken- Va'tet hallucinates. She has been completely unable to accept the death of Ai no Junkyōsha, and sees the spirit as if she was still alive. Va'tet also attempts to speak, not realizing that no sound ever escapes her. Due to the repeated mind-manipulations of the Negativas, Va'tet has trouble retaining information or recalling what she was doing.

Likes :

  • The White Desert- Having spent the greater part of her life living in Hueco Mundo, she can't help but see beauty in the endless sand and ruins. She admires the quiet peacefulness of it.

  • Reading- Va'tet loves to read. She thoroughly enjoyed Ma'kine's library as a child and during her time in Hueco Mundo she has read the various books her team had brought thousands of times. As it was such a big part of her personality, it was retained.

  • Calligraphy- Like her mentor, Va'tet is skilled at the art.

  • Singing- Va'tet loves to sing, though she's unaware she no longer has a voice. The voice she hears is a hallucination.

Dislikes :

  • Bright lights- Centuries of living in the White Desert has made her used to the dark or traveling by moonlight alone. Bright lights physically hurt her to look at, including the artificial light of Las Noches.

  • Traitors- Anyone who turns their back on their own people cannot be trusted ever again. Traitors should be met with maximum force to prevent any further disruption from them.

  • Killing- Va'tet hates the idea of taking a life. It goes against some inner core of good, she believes. However, she sees it as a necessary evil needed to defend herself until her mission is completed.

  • Spiders, snakes and similar creatures- Either having too many legs, or none at all, unnerves Va'tet. Though she consciously knows better, she feels its unnatural that something with no legs can move so fast.

Personal Habits : Va'tet thinks she can speak. This often results in her "saying" something and then staring at someone until they answer her. Since she doesn't realize she has no voice, she often ends up looking for whatever it was herself.
General Personality :   Va'tet is a strange young woman. It's hard to understand her because the majority of her life has been spent away from other people.
Outwardly, Va'tet seems to be an emotionless person who is wholly focused on her mission. For hundreds of years, has served the Arrancar unerringly. Even when engaged in battle, her face does not show any exertion on her part. Her expression is not likely to change regardless of any stimuli. She also carries herself fluidly, always focused on the tasks at hand and little else, completing her goals with cold, usually silent, efficiency. Though she is willing to be merciful to her opponents, she fights with brutal efficiency, her shattered Zanpakuto beating the enemy into a quivering mass of flesh. She prefers to destroy the target's joints first, methodically.
However, beneath her cold indifference lays an emotionally scared girl. She never knows if today will be the day she's accepted by the Hollows or killed, and so she has adopted the outward appearance of cold confidence to hide her true feelings. In reality, she craves contact with others, though she no longer remembers what that feels like. Va'tet clings to her missions because that's what a leader is supposed to do, and those brief orders are the only contact she has with the other Arrancar. She misses something, someone and someplace, but cannot recall what they were. When the longing affects her, she cries without noticing it. Her mind confuses and mixes the Seireitei and Las Noches to the point where she cannot tell them apart other than scattered, fragmented memories.
She is adamant about repeating her daily routines even though she doesn't know when a day is over. Cleaning her equipment and organizing her small room is a ritual she needs to keep what remains of her sanity.
Something Special : Va'tet can see beyond the usual visible light spectrum, due to her nature as a Vastine Amorte. Her Hollow Hole is also located beneath her mask, where her mouth would be. Her Aspect of Death as a former Espada was Truth.

The Power

Arrancar

Zanpakutō Name   :  Plaga
Zanpakutō Name Translation   :  "Blight"

Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance   :  Plaga is the dead remnants of Ai no Junkuosha. It has a green handle, and a cross-guard shaped like four feathers. The blade is shattered, ending abruptly several inches from the hilt, jagged.
Release Phrase   :  "Taint, Plaga" is the phrase that Va'tet thinks before her release.

Resurreccion Appearance   : Plaga causes Va'tet's mask to grow, covering her face in a plague-doctor-esque mask. Her skin loses its healthy sheen, turning cold and pale. She grows even thinner, gaunt and her bones are visible through her skin and tight underclothes. Her armor cracks and grows dull, and her wings rot to bone. On her exposed skin, sores and oozing wounds split her skin.
Resurreccion Ability   :  Plaga grants two connected powers to Va'tet: Vacunar and Contaminar. Vacunar allows Va'tet to heal others, granting them her Regeneration briefly. To do this, Va'tet opens her beak, revealing the dark hole where her mouth should be. She consumes the ailments of others, bringing them back to health by granting herself their injuries or illnesses. Contaminar is the direct opposite. Va'tet can also elect not to heal her own injuries or illnesses to spread a black fog in her wake, which will poison all it comes in contact with. The contaminated become "infected" with whatever ailments Va'tet possessed, and then become carriers of it themselves, further spreading it in the same manner as Va'tet.

Segunda Epta Appearance   :  Plaga Mundial causes Va'tet's form to decay further. Her armor rots away completely. Her skin decays, and in some places rots completely, exposing the bone. Her wings now have shadowy black mist stretching between them, similar to bat wings. The girl's mask vanishes, revealing a skull for a face. Insects crawl through her flesh, and she leaves a trail of bloody fluids wherever she touches.
Segunda Epta Ability   :   Plaga Mundial further enhances Contaminar's effects. In this form, the black fog spreads faster and seeps from her body. She breathes it out, and it spreads with each flap of her wings. Inanimate objects will rot and decay with her touch, and plants and animals will wither and die in her presence. She can use     Enfermedad, a new ability of Contaminar, to cause a frenzy in animals and people, causing them to grow incredibly ill and violent. Its effects are similar to a zombie outbreak.

Returning To Safe Systems

Va'tet's earliest memory was waking in a small, three by three meter room. She lay on a single cot in the corner, wearing nothing but a white jacket and pants. Beside the bed was a mannequin wearing a light pink armor. A broken sword rested in the mannequin's hand. A single candle, mounted on the wall opposite the cot, was the only illumination. Va'tet looked around, but the only other items in the room were a chest at the foot of the cot, and a slate and chalk under the cot.

Looking around, she felt this sense of belonging. As if this was where she belonged, where she was supposed to be. Looking at the armor and sword, she instinctively knew they belonged to her. Looking around the small space, Va'tet then shed her jacket and donned the armor. First, the soft undershirt, white and thick enough to ensure the armor wouldn't irritate her skin. Next, the brown, tanned hide breastplate. Her thin fingers struggled to don it at first. It was unusually shaped, being only the front of the breastplate and three holes for her arms and neck. After three tries, she was able to get her beak and head through the collar, which wrapped around her neck with laces on the back to tighten it. She pulled the leather cords tight, feeling the leather constrict around her neck. She loosened it slightly before twisting her torso to get one arm through the 'sleeve.' This, too, had cords on the ring of leather. However, these cords tied back to her collar, pulling the sleeve into place. The other arm was harder to get through, but again after a few minutes she had it properly set.

Next, came her bracers.

Major Events Timeline :
Forgotten History:

  • 1494 AD- The former Shinigami-turned-Hollow Va'tet sheds her form as a Hollow. She is revived by Verbahelotep, the Negativas Primera, and awakened as an Arrancar. She is made to believe that she is subservient to the Negativas, and is given the seat of Novena Espada, the 9th Espada.
  • 1561 AD- Va'tet's memories begin to come back, and she recalls fragments of her time as a Shinigami. She rebels against the Espada, but is ultimately beaten down and tortured by Verbahelotep again.
