It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Lanying Baozhai on Fri Sep 15, 2017 1:34 am

Lanying smiled as she walked down the hall of the Baozhai Manor. Tonight was special. No paperwork, no combat training, no yelling at subordinates. Just a nice long night of drinking, gambling, and being with her family. Rather than her usual dress, Lany instead wore a sparkling black backless gown. She still wore her tiara and her boots, but her hair was in an up-do behind her tiara, with a few locks of hair flowing down to frame her face. As she strolled down the hallway, she came across a few of the Giants who composed of the Baozhai family.

"Madam Baozhai." The Giant gave a polite bow before getting back to what he was doing, pouring a watery, red liquid into a rather large barrel that even Lany would have trouble carrying considering it was twice her size. She came across more of the workers, smiling at each one as they did the final preparations for the weekly party that the Baozhai held, both for the Gotei and for the other Nobles.

While the other Nobles would have parties like these to flaunt their wealth and to show off, the Baozhai have these parties to stock up their own wealth and distribute it among the citizens of the higher-numbered Rukon districts, to make sure that they are taken care of. However, the way that these funds are attained is...frowned upon by the other nobles, however it is perfectly legal by Gotei law, and has been for centuries.

As the head of the house, Lany's job was to greet the guests at the front door, so she casually walked over to the giant doors of the Baozhai manor and opened up the much smaller door inside of them to let the guests in.

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Sabiruchi Tsuyosa on Fri Sep 15, 2017 2:54 am

Lady Tsuyosa walked slowly up towards the Baozhai Manor. She was wearing a long, slim white and gold dress. The shimmering fabric was tapered, showing off her left leg and coming to her right ankle, while her bust was squeezed into the top in a way that was honestly uncomfortable after about three steps in her black heels. The stops of her breasts were visible, showing just enough cleavage to still be presentable. She wore her hair down tonight, and it was brushed until it shone.

She was arriving earlier than she normally would have. But, that was only because Nibuisekiei had absolutely refused to come get her. That man... That rude, vulgar, cocky, beautiful man. She hoped against hope that he would actually wear a suit, or at least shave the beard he'd been growing since their first date several weeks ago. Though the pure-blooded Giant usually looked like a Viking who ate and drank far too much, he really had looked so good during that date. But, she didn't know if she'd even see him tonight.

Sabre walked up towards the small, regularly sized door and smiled as she saw Lanying herself. "Lady Lanying, thank you so much for inviting me," Sabre said, the line out of her mouth without her thinking of it. She'd attended so many of these parties over the years that it was force of habit, the dialogue was. She cleared her throat and amended, "Lany, I meant."

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Shiroki on Fri Sep 15, 2017 6:35 am

For the fifth time in as many minutes, Shiro wondered why his name had been printed on the formal invitation requesting his presence for a function at Baozhai Manor.

He did not trouble to ask himself WHY he had accepted the invite. That at least had been self evident. Once his Captain had gotten wind of the event and its invitees, there was no question in her mind that of course he must go. And once Captain Pekku set her mind to something; it was as good as carried out. What followed shortly was nothing short of a whirlwind of frenzy that involved him being scrubbed, brushed and fit for formal wear roughly in that order before he even knew what was going on. Even trying to remember it now drew a complete blank; as were the hours between his Captain's pronouncement and his current location at the manor gate.

Likely his mind had considered the experience too traumatizing and had mercifully wiped his memory to preserve his sanity.

He looked down to see himself wearing an open hitatare combination: a long sleeved top over hakama bottoms that completely swallowed both arms in its billowing sleeves. In that aspect it bore some resemblance to a Captain's haori; a resemblance made stronger by the squad emblem marking one side of the coat. Rather than being white though, his outfit was blue and in place of the usual bandanna came with a matching scarf around his neck to complete the ensemble.

He was fairly certain that the scarf alone would easily cost an entire month's salary, never mind the rest of this getup.

"Mind your manners and get into trouble," the Captain had instructed him, planting a playful kiss in between overlarge ears.

"Wait, what? Don't you mean DON'T get into trouble?"

"You'll see," was her enigmatic response.

That left him where he currently was; in formal attire on a noble family's doorstep trying not to look as out of place as he felt. Thank Kami for size and being unnoticeable, it was allowing him to escape attention for the moment. All that would change though, as the line inched forward and brought him ever closer to the gates. There did not seem to be many familiar faces in the milling crowd.

Speaking of familiar faces, was that...Captain Sab--Tsuyosa standing near the front of the line? He ducked behind a boisterous Giant before she could notice him. The last time they had happened upon each other, they had been responsible for several million's worth of property damage between them. Not that it was anyone's fault per se; but given that it had buried both their Divisions in paperwork he could not imagine she would be very happy to be reminded of that unfortunate...incident.

Dwelling on the past also brought an uneasy premonition to his mind. He hoped nobody in attendance would remember to bring up that incident or comment on his involvement. But in case it did, it couldn't hurt to rehearse the cover story just to be safe: Structurally unsound building... close to collapsing anyway... surprisingly few casualties... opened up space for new developments in Rukon by revitalizing construction of a new district. Yes, that sounded good.

Lost in thoughts, it came as a slight shock to find himself at the front of the line and looking up at the Captain Commander herself. "...revitalizing construction," his tongue babbled on its own accord before he made it shut up. It hadn't been very loud, so hopefully nobody would notice.

"You honor me with your invitation, Sotaicho," the cub hesitated, not entirely sure what was the right thing to do next. Should he try kissing his host's hand like they did in those...movies Oshii-taicho showed him? Was that what nobles did? For some reason, Shiro remained distrustful of Captain Pekku's advice to 'just high-five the boss-lady and challenge her to a drinking contest'. He was no noble himself, but that didn't sound like proper formal behavior even to him. Sometimes, if he was being completely honest, the puppy had to wonder if Captain Pekku was not just having some long elaborate joke at his own expense.

He settled for bowing instead.

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Lanying Baozhai on Sat Sep 16, 2017 8:23 pm

Lany's crimson eyes sparkled a little in the lighting, her slit pupils more obvious than usual as she greeted every single guest with the usual "Welcome to our Manor." along with a smile. Behind her stood two large giants, even for giant standards, who checked the invites against their lists. Behind them stood a gaggle of other giants, some wearing nice suits and dresses, and others wearing dark clothing and standing at doors, making it obvious that these areas were off-limits to the general public of the party.

As Lany was dealing with another guest, her good friend Sabre made it up to the front of the line and gave a smile along with a rather formal greeting, followed by a much more friendly one.

"Of course Sabre. Did you think that after almost 200 years of having you by my side, I'd forget about you?" She gave a polite smile first and then gave her a hug, whether she wanted it or not. "And by the way, you look lovely in that dress tonight." She gave Sabre a predatory look as she looked her body up and down before returning to eye contact. "If your fiance weren't a member of my family, I'd take you to the back for some 'punishment'."

As she sat conversing with Sabre, a somewhat unfamiliar werewolf made it's way to the front of the line. As Lany released Sabre from her grasp, she eyed the werewolf up and down a little before it dawned on her. "Oh, yes. You're very welcome. I want to get to know all the seated officers. I've heard good things about you from Taiyo."

Sabre smiled, returning the hug when it was given. She'd buried the hatchet, so to speak, the one sided resentment now forgotten. Sabre simply wanted this back how they had been between the two friends. At Lanying's compliment, Sabre felt her ears redden and she shifted uncomfortably before laying a hand on the other Noble's arm, leaning in to say softly in her host's ear, "I didn't say this, but what Nibuisekiei doesn't know won't hurt him." She smiled coyly at the Commander before a giggle escaped her lips; she couldn't say things like that and maintain her composure anymore. It just felt too good to joke and be alive.

Sabre stiffened a little when she saw the Werewolf Shinigami, giving him a brief nod of her head and a short "Pleasure to see you again,
Lieutenant Shiroki.
" Her mood slightly soured by the memory of their recent... unfortunate incident, Sabre patted Lanying's arm and let herself vanish into the crowd in a futile attempt to locate her future husband.

What Captains did on their own time was none of his business; he reminded himself. No reason to be surprised; especially when being the subject of other rumours himself. That one about him and Officer Itsuya for example...just thinking of it required Shiro too suppress a shudder. Now that was a mental image that would haunt him for centuries to come.

He ducked his head politely in acknowledgement of Lady Tsuyosa's greeting but was spared having to actually reply when she let herself be swallowed by the crowd. He decided to follow her example, keeping close to the walls prudently to avoid being stepped on or run into. A necessary precaution, especially when being the smallest person present. The boy would have been considered tiny by standards of humans; nevermind Giant nobility.

Where to next though? He hardly knew anybody at this gathering, and it was starting to get difficult to process things with so many conversations going on at once. Best to find somebody he knew and stick to them for the time being. Maybe Captain Oshii would be here, and then he would have someone to talk to about anime.

And if he could accidentally discover the refreshments table, so much the better.

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Clack

Clack

Clack

The sound of Oshime's shoes gently colliding with the tiled floor of the room was the only sound that could be heard at the moment. Soon, there would be a party here with the cacophonous discussions between the various guests, but for now, at the time before the party had started, all that could be heard was the clattering of shoe to tile. She was not wearing heels, though, there was no way she trusted herself to walk in those things properly all night.

She sighed a bit from boredom, but also as a bit of stress relief from her trepidation of a night of social interactions. She had gotten here before everyone else as Lany had to be here earlier as the hostess of the party. When you live in the manor in which the party is taking place, well, you cannot exactly show up late.

She hated dressing up very fancy but Lany was making her show up to the party and added the ultimatum that she was to dress up fancy or Lany would take control of dressing her for the night and as far as Oshime could tell, Lany would use that opportunity to make her regret crossing her, even if it meant making a scene or two at a very public party. Considering she did not want to be paraded around in just a cutesy t-shirt and her underwear, she managed to scrape together a fancy enough outfit to placate her surrogate mother. It was a long dress of a deep royal blue, with an orange stripe angled like an arrow pointing downward. Her hair was done up in a fancy method, though not to the extent of most, as she did not want to spend hours getting her naturally unruly hair to try to cooperate to such an extent. Her lips had a thin layer of orange lipstick, afraid that if she spent too long applying it, her juvenile instincts would start trying to have fun with the fancy orange crayon.

She sighed again as she wondered how long it would be until Momm-No, Lany. Lany. Lany. That was not the kind of mistake she could afford to make tonight, she would never be able to live it down if she found herself calling the Captain Commander “Mommy”, regardless of the woman's actual relationship to her.

An hour passed after Sabre and the werewolf...pup vanished into the crowd. The last of the guests were just now arriving, and Lany smiled at them before turning around and nodding to the giants as she slowly made her way into the manor.

She tried to avoid the crowd as she ducked into a small hallway and quickly made her way to Oshi's room, giving a loud knock and a "It's time." before walking away, knowing that Oshi, even without her there to guide her, would know the way to where the party was being held.

Quickly walking down the hallways, her boots giving gentle thuds as she made her way to the party, she came across a few of the workers of the party, the "special" ones.

"OK, you guys know the drill. This is perfectly legal, but it's still frowned upon. So stay in the backrooms, and make sure the guests give you guys the password. And if you guys don't remember what the password is, it's 'lipstick'."

Lany ducked her way out of the back rooms, released a heavy sigh, and finished the few final steps into the main courtyard where a good majority of the guests should be gathered. All rooms connecting to the courtyard were open, to the public. The rooms directly to the left of the courtyard was where the gambling would take place, the room to the back of the courtyard would be where the "special" guests would go later on in the evening, the rooms to the right were for general guests, and the only remaining room was the entryway which is where everyone would be able to enter the courtyard and the rest of the party.

Lany smiled at the guests as she walked up to a small platform that had been put at the back of the courtyard facing the entryway, and opened her mouth to speak.

"Thank you all for coming. I'm so glad you could join us this week for the weekly Baozhai Bash!" She gave a smile at the guests, waiting for them to either clap or cheer. "As the veterans of this party know, to my right is where the gambling will be held, to my left, along with the courtyard, is where the general festivities will be held, and, be sure to pay attention to your invites for the special pass code that'll allow you into the doors behind me!" She gave a light wink to the partygoers and heard a few chuckles from a few people in the back. "Now, I'm sure you've heard my voice enough. Let the festivities begin!"

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Sabiruchi Tsuyosa on Sun Sep 17, 2017 10:37 pm

Sabiruchi sighed, walking around sullenly with a glass in her hand. It had been over an hour and there was still no sign of her husband-to-be. She knew it had only been a few weeks, a month at best, since they started seeing each other, but she missed the Giant and loved him. True, the marriage was almost entirely political in nature due to her position in the Tsuyosa family, but Nibuisekiei didn't know that's why she'd rushed things along so fast. She had entertained him the first night simply because he was so crass and his own Nobility, but she really cared for him now.

And damn it, how can it be this hard to find a sixty foot tall man in his own house!? Well... He didn't exactly live in the mansion itself, but he may as well have! She was angry and sad, and honestly she should slow down with the drinks but she was getting worried.

What if he had changed his mind? Did he not like her? Was it because she wasn't a Giant like him? He'd always said she was beautiful, well, not in that phrasing but he liked her appearance. Maybe he realized she was too small, or maybe one of his friends convinced him to stick with women of his own Species. The more Sabre thought about it, the more she ended up drinking and the more it made sense to her.

He was blowing her off because she was too small, not big enough for the Giants. She'd known his friends didn't like her, and it just had to be because she was Human. So what if she couldn't have sex with Nibuisekiei? That had to be why he was blowing her off and he was probably off screwing some Giant girl and probably didn't even care that she was here waiting for him an hour and fifteen minutes after they were supposed to meet!

Standing up suddenly from the spot she'd claimed as her own near the beverages, knocking over a pyramid of drinks that she'd been downing since she got there, Sabre strode towards Lanying. In her mind, she looked fierce, but the way the Noblewoman kept swaying and the fact that her whole body leaned to the left looked ridiculous.

"Wha, where's Ni-ni-Nibuisekiei, Lany? I'm gonna, I'm going to kick his, kick his big pretty butt," Sabre slurred when she finally found Lany. The thirteenth Captain's face was flushed red from drink, and it was immediate apparent both by her swaying posture, slurred speech and smell that she'd done very little besides drink since she arrived. And centuries of attending the Baozhai's parties meant she had a rather high tolerance to begin with.

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Shiroki on Tue Sep 19, 2017 9:05 am

Racuous applause indicated that festivities were well underway. That meant that everyone who was anyone should already be in attendance...but despite all that he still had not managed to come across the Captains of 12th and 2nd through ordinary means.

That boded ill. If there was one thing the boy had learnt in his first month under his Captain; it was to be aware of Taiyo Pekku's whereabouts at all times. He had made the mistake of letting his guard down ONCE, only to walk-into what the Captain described as a 'snuggle-ambush'. And then the time after that; when she had insisted he listen to her music records... Not to mention the various occasions his superior took it upon herself to improve her lieutenant's reflexes by popping up from random places and launching some exaggerated attack. After dodging a flying tackle from behind for the third time, he had thought it prudent to err on the side of caution and keep his senses on the lookout for the Captain's particular reiatsu wherever he happened to be. It was a game of sorts that they both played, and to be honest more enjoyable than Shiro would ever admit. His Captain had never made any attempt to hide her spirit pressure from him before; so he had always relied upon being able to locate her in the vicinity and prepare himself accordingly. The fact that he was unable to do so this time raised a red flag to his subconscious: either the Captain was not in attendance, or more sneakily--she had decided it was time to take it to the next level by consciously cloaking herself from his notice.

The ramifications of that second possibility scared him more than a full-scale Quincy Invasion.

Forcing away unhelpful thoughts of enthusiastic hugs and fur-brushing sessions, he decided on escalating as well. Try as they might, few people in Seireitei would be capable of hiding from the Corps Commander if he was REALLY looking for them--Captains or not. Their host hadn't said anything about techniques being restricted while on Manor grounds, so he assumed employing Otokoyo would be alright. It wasn't even a Kido spell, and would not generate some kind of direct destructive effect. This was a good thing, since he was already kind of in trouble for a fallen building in Rukon that-had-nothing-whatsoever-to-do-with-Squad-2-honest.

It was becoming kind of irritating, come to think of it. Since that broken building business, people had been giving him odd looks and the number of duel challenges he received from Squad 11 had significantly increased. This was tiresome as it completely ruined the image he worked so hard to present--what use was an assassin who was the center of attention?

Grounding himself in his surroudings, he manifested the spirit ribbons and drew upon reiryoku to hone in on one aura in particular. In that instant, everything unrelated around him ceased to exist from conscious thought; leaving behind a comfortable void comprising only himself and the spirit trail before him--a route that appeared to be marked in bright glowing paint to his sight. All other things were shunted off to the realm of subconscious thought. He remained aware of them; an awareness that was not restricted by the limitations of sight and sound. If this wasn't some form of Sense Nirvana, it likely was close. He heard conversations between people he didn't see, 'saw' their participants from rooms away:

"...special pass code that'll allow you into the doors behind me,"

"...going to kick his, kick his big pretty butt..."

Dozens of simultaneous conversations, attended to and discarded in an instant. So Captain Tsuyosa was looking for her fiance, was she? Maybe he would track him down along the way, surely a small enough matter for a Retrieval God...

Nope, not a literal God. It was irritating how often he had to remind himself of that. Omniscience could become pretty intoxicating, but giving into the rush of power would not be smart. Especially since this version of godly omniscience did not come with equally godly Omnipotence attached. People generally did not like being spied on. They were funny like that.

Better get some backup, just in case.

Following the reiatsu trail led him closer to the sound of clacking footsteps he recognized, coming around the corner.

"Okay Mommy! Dammit, I mean Lany! I mean darn it! I-I'll be right there!" Oshime shouted at her door, not even sure if she was still on the other side or not. Either way, the time had come and she was starting to feel a tad faint as her nerves cranked it up a notch. "Okay just breathe, you can do this, you can do this..." She muttered this affirmation to herself, hoping beyond hope that there was the most infinitesimal iota of truth to what she was saying.

With one last, longer breath, Oshime stood up and stepped out of the room and into the hall. It was empty, as expected, but it felt like she had taken a colossal step towards the social interactions that awaited her at the party that was beginning. Unfortunately, she had a lot of time to think as this hallway was long and just the first of many she would have to traverse in order to get to the room where the actual party was taking place.

As she walked through the various corridors of the manor, an odd feeling stuck with her, like that of a presence that was not unfelt before, but also not usually amongst the various staff of the manor. Each clack of her shoes on the tile made her more sure of herself that she was not alone in these halls; perhaps a party guest had gotten lost in the labyrinthe system of the manor on their way to the pott-the toilet, on their way to the toilet.

“Hmm?” Her title and name being called out as such eased her nerves quite a bit, if the presence was making themselves known, it was not a sinister threat liked part of her imagined that it could be. “Oh, Lieutenant Sakanade, good to see you” She responded as she saw small frame and canine countenance of the mysterious presence. “Did you get lost? It's not hard to do in such a large mansion.”

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Post by Taiyo Pekku on Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:07 pm

Taiyo finally arrived to the party, though it was extremely late, the girl who looked mostly like a monkey was in her monkey form, a white and blackfurred creature with a long curled tail. The small thing was wearing a tuxedo, which looked quite funny on a monkey, it was everything one would expect from a tux except with a change of color, dark grey over coat and little dark grey dress pants, the overcoat had a nice grey vest under it and under the grey vest there was a white undershirt with the classic bowtie, though colored grey. The monkey also wore a grey top hat and was walking in using a cane, which honestly was a weird sight to be seen even for shinigami. To those who were adept at seeing reiatsu they'd probably notice it was just a nude monkey.

Taiyo looked around at all the people, not truly needing to avoid any steps the larger or smaller folks may take. Those there knew who hid behind the guise of a monkey and they probably also knew that stepping on her tail was a bad idea. Taiyo made her way across the floor, taking longer than most would need to...mostly cause of her small form...she then sat herself up upon a table and grabbed any sort of snack would she could find, scarfing it down with no hesitation or grace. Yes, this was Taiyo, a captain of the Gotei, and no....it wasn't a mistake that she was made a captain.

As she sat there her eyes darted from one familiar face to the other, it was nice to watch others mingle, she didn't really care for it herself, talking with people tended to get boring after all, but it was nice to see the facial expressions of people in the crowd "There's Oshi, Saka, Lany, Sabre.....hrmm....some big people and some small people...YEP, all accounted for! Mission success." she said, awarding herself with an alcoholic beverage.

She gave a sigh as she stepped off the platform after her speech. She always hated that part of the party. She quickly made her way over to the drinks, smiling and greeting the people who came up to her on the way. One such person was a highly intoxicated Sabre, a sight that Lany was used to.

"Sabre, I'm not sure where Nibuisekiei is. Last I saw him, he was in his room practicing for something. He also smelt like aftershave." She gently wrapped her arm around her drunken friend. "And Sabre, please don't beat up my family members. We both know they'd like that too much." She started walking towards one of the side hallways, dragging Sabre along. "Come on, I'll take you to his room if you're that worried about him."

Sabiruchi walked with Lany, making a conscious effort that it was right foot, left foot to walk. She leaned heavily on the Commander and her old friend, the shorter Noblewoman doing her best not to stumble or trip Lanying. "H-he said he was going, going to pick me up and we were going to go dancing," Sabre began, over-enunciating her words. "I bet, I bet he's just ass, ashes, ashamed to be seen with me. Cuz I'm, I'm just Human Lany, I'm just a Human. Not even, not even a real Noble!"

When she said this, being led by her friend down the hallway, Sabre looked up at Lanying and started to giggle. "Hehehhe, just like, just like you! I don't know, Lany, maybe I'm not good for him. You don't think I'm bad,
right? No, no, of course not. You're, you're my friend and you know I love you so, so much and I just love you and I'm sorry I was so mean to you before and I'm sorry Lany.
" The intoxicated Vizard made a face as she leaned against Lanying, as if only just now realizing she'd given this apology every single time she got drunk since she stabilized her Hollow/Shinigami powers.

As was typical in these sorts of situations, Otokoyo decided to kick in just when he was in the middle of formulating a reply. The sudden emergence of a reiatsu trace hit him full force like it often did, overriding conversation and circumstance in the process. It seemed that the quarry's strength had some sort of effect on his tracking aftermath. He really had to do something about that; he reflected on coming face to face with Captain Oshime's concerned expression. Losing concentration for even a moment or so would be a great liability in the middle of a battle.

"Sorry for spacing out like that, Captain. Can we go on ahead? Taiyo-sama's here," Hearing the eagerness in his own voice made him wince. "I mean, if Captain Oshime won't mind coming with me?" Shiro mentally thanked whatever patron kami present that Oshime hadn't been wearing her haori--otherwise he might've been tugging at it by now. And that would have been awkward.

Without waiting for a reply, he allowed his senses to guide him straight to his target. The presence grew stronger as he approached, and then--

Shiro stopped. Stared. It took a moment or so for his brain to process what he was seeing: a black and white monkey perched on the edge of the refreshments table, casually finishing a cocktail.

Because that was entirely reasonable, no doubt.

And then he noticed her outfit; or rather lack of one--the illusory tuxedo took on its true form as a reishii construct to the pup's eyes. His snout twitched involuntarily; the memory of party preparations too recent to ignore. His Captain had insisted he look the part for this occasion, even chased him round the barracks and badgered him into scrubbing up to arrive in awkward formal attire he could hardly walk about without tripping on--attire that formed a mandatory dress code everyone would have to follow...

--and here she was: in monkey form; wearing nothing at all.

Exasperation at being tricked for the umpteenth time clashed with grudging acknowledgement for a prank well played as he considered his next move. The Captain having her back to him; coupled with his habit of muffling his own spirit pressure bought some time to decide.

A suicidal part of him wanted to catch her by surprise as a form of payback, but he ultimately settled for looming ominously behind the monkey instead. Not exactly an imposing figure himself at the best of times, there were few occasions where he would be able to pull this off especially with every other Shinigami being taller than him. That was a shame, seeing how fun it was to sneak up on people and scare them out of their wits.

Fortunately for the puppy lieutenant, Captain Taiyo Pekku in her monkey form remained one of the few things shorter than he was; and therefore an acceptable target. (He could hardly 'loom' over somebody taller than oneself, after all)

Were their situations reversed, he had no doubt the Captain would have surprised him with a hug ambush from behind; but as of yet he didn't think he was brave enough to do the same. Instead, Shiro settled for creeping up quietly to stand directly behind Captain Pekku and slowly allowing his spiritual pressure to rise from its earlier suppressed levels. If all went well the Captain would notice soon enough, turn around and come face to face with one rather un-amused subordinate. The only question was how loud her "REE"-action would be. He could almost hear the shrill shout of 'ree' already.

This was going to be fun.

Re: It's a Party! (Invite only)

Taiyo sipped her cocktail, watching the party from behind lidded eyes, she did quite enjoys seeing all these people gathered up and mingling, talking about gods know what, but they were talking and being people which tended to be a rare situation in a place where the dead resided. She let out a soft sigh and swirled her drink around in her cup a bit, smiling to herself, the only thing that would make this party even better was if everyone could be invited.....all she saw around her were the powerful families and the few important people of the sereitei like shinigami and such. Being from the streets things like this always tended to get to her, if she was still on the streets she would of never been blessed with seeing such a well put together party, she would be searching for stale bread and half eaten meat, fighting some dogs for it.

Taiyo shook her head and settled her glass down, her tail swaying, stuff couldn't always be perfect though, knowing the streets if anyone other than those of class were invited they'd probably try to steal everything for themselves or ruin such a well put together party. She thought on this for a moment before suddenly shooting her small money hand out, grabing hold of her lieutenants nostril and tugging on it a bit. "Trying to sneak up on me? You know I don't need to be able to see reiatsu to see.~" her soft and deep yet feminine voice was a weird thing to hear from a monkey. She snickered and let go of his nose after a bit, keeping her face directed to the party "Try harder to remain hidden, don't just rely on hiding your reiatsu. If you would of used your size to crawl under the table and used the large people as cover, i probably would of never noticed you.....probably."

OOC:
Currently playing as Meili Yan Baozhai

Meili Yan Baozhai smiled as she walked the hallways of the Baozhai manor. Today had been the big party, so her mother, Lanying Baozhai, had told her to dress up nice, so Meili was dressed in a slim, black dress, similar to her mother's usual outfit in every way except unlike her mother's, her skirt flowed outwards rather than downwards, giving her the appearance of an adorable and innocent little girl. Her long, blonde hair remained in the usual pigtails as she hated having her hair in anything else, and neither Lany or the Baozhai hairdresser were going to dissuade her, nor did they even try. Her legs were covered with her normal patterned stockings, white and black, alternating from black to white on each leg going downwards in that same pattern. On her feet were a shiny, black pair of Mary Janes, with cute little ribbons on the clasps.

She'd finally made to where the party was being held. She casually walked past the guard, who made no move to stop her. Why would he? This is her house as much as it's his. However, Meili still kept her crimson eyes open for her mother, her "younger" sister Oshime, or any other noble who might know her, as she currently didn't want to deal with the interactions of "look how big you've gotten". She just wanted to party, so that's what she was going to do, and the first step to any good party was food and drinks! So that's where she was headed when she spotted a peculiar sight.

A small...monkey? No...that was Taiyo. It had to be. Meili had seen her around her mother enough to know who she was. However, Taiyo in her monkey form wasn't the only peculiar thing. Standing behind her with Taiyo's fingers in his snout was...was that a puppy?! Meili didn't care who saw her at this point. She used her extremely inexperienced shunpo to dash her way to the food and drinks table to attempt to hug the puppy, along with a squeal of delight.
