The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] Empty The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer]

Post by The Wandering Scholar Sat Jun 18, 2016 12:34 pm

The Basics

Name: Jordan Stone
Aliases: Jordan uses the names "The Wandering Scholar" or just "The Scholar," though it's often abrieviated to simply "Scholar."
Species: The Scholar is a Human.
Race: The Wandering Scholar is a Fullbringer.
Gender: Biologically speaking, Jordan is female. However, their male appearance and general personality leads to many believing Jordan is a man, usually for a very long time.
Date of Birth: Born on the twenty-second of December, in the year 1994.
Appearance Age: Jordan looks roughly their age, maybe slightly younger
Actual Age: Jordan is twenty one years old.
Organization and Rank: The Scholar is a wandering spirit, going wherever they please and their only allegiance is to knowledge, drink and good times. However, it's also incredibly secret that Scholar is the Ouroboros of Daedalus, even among members of the organization due to her rarely being in headquarters. Most members have never seen her at all.

The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] 22624510

Height: The Scholar stands in at five feet and five inches tall.
Weight: The Wandering Scholar is only a hundred and ten pounds, give or take.
Hair color: Their hair is stark white and completely devoid of color.
Eye color: The Scholar has emerald colored green eyes, normally hidden by their bangs.
General Appearance: Jordan has long, white hair with messy bangs that normally cover the upper half of her face. She has a very slim figure, with clear, pale skin. Her eyes are a bright emerald green and she has one scar across her nose, diagonally across her face. She does not often wear lipstick, so her lips are pale. She wears no earings or piercings. Her narrow shoulders and thin arms are almost always covered. She typically wears a black jacket, black dress shirt, white undershirt and black dress pants. The black dress shirt has three golden buttons and the neckline is plunging. Her undershirt is white and around the upturned collar is a thin black ribbon tied in a bow knot. She also wears a black coat with two stiff, trailing coattails. Her flat shoes are also polished black, but are not dressy and are suitable for walking great distances. She wears a black bowler's hat with a purple ribbon. She has no noticeable feminine traits while dressed this way, though she does wear a bra under the white shirt. It shouldn't take many guesses to figure it's color.
On occasion, she will dress womanly, wearing a long, tight black dress with a slit up one leg. The dress is plunging as well, and shows off her back through skull patterned lace. On the front of the dress, at the bottom of the neckline, is a silver skull button. Her bra is clearly visible in this dress.

The Psyche

Redeeming Qualities: Jordan is the life of the party. She's always optimistic and happily excited even if nothing of note is going on. She does her best to get everyone to smile and laugh with her, even at her own expense.
The young Scholar is a lover and not a fighter. She would much rather crack open a bottle than crack some bones. She views nobody as an enemy, and believes that everyone, regardless of species or race, can get along.
The Wandering Scholar is an honest person who'll share their findings with anyone should they ask. She's a reliable source of information, gossip and rumors as she travels constantly and talks to everyone. It's easy to forget conflict around her.
Negative Qualities: It can be off-putting that the Scholar refuses to take anything seriously unless she is wooing somebody or studying something. Her desire to be drunk and party and basically enjoy herself is most off-putting to those who are trying to be serious or relay important information. But, she can take things serious at a moment's notice with the right... motivation.
Jordan doesn't ever tell anyone her biological gender because of her huge self-shame. As a result it can get awkward when she invites a man or woman to her current room, especially if they were expecting a man. Worse yet is that she doesn't exactly stop once she's started.
Jordan also has a bad habit of stealing signature abilities or techniques from various beings. She claims that it's for scientific reasons that she must record as many spiritual things as possible, but it really steps on toes when they witness her using their go-to techniques.
Likes: Jordan has a fondness for alcohol and if she's not wooing someone or recording some new information, she's most likely procuring more booze. As a result, she has a high tolerance for drink.
The Scholar is often seen as a womanizer, but in truth would best be described as someone with zero standards. To Jordan, looks and personality mean little when it comes to the bedroom, especially due to her habit of leaving all lights off. It would be an understatement to say she was bisexual; if it has roughly the correct anatomy, she'd like to try it. Regardless of species.
The Wandering Scholar earns her name by her thirst for new and exciting facts and locations. The Scholar desires to know all there is to know, to go everywhere, and as such, everyone and everything is fascinating to her. She only laments that she's unable to dissect the many unusual and strange persons she meets.
Dislikes: The most glaring thing that Jordan hates is her lack of... a womanly figure. She is extremely self-conscious about her lack of assets, or her typical garments' influence on peoples perception of her.
She also despises bitter foods or anything sour. She particularly hates when people eat excessive amounts of these foods, as the taste and smell of them linger.
She also dislikes prudish people and 'party poopers'. She feels that if one isn't having fun, rather than rain on the parade, they should at least try to pretend to enjoy the festivities, which tend to follow Jordan wherever she goes.
Goals:
Short-term Goals: The Scholar wants to enjoy life. Drink, pleasurable evenings with a beautiful man, or woman, on her arm, sweet foods, these are all things Jordan loves. She craves knowledge as well, and wishes to know all she can about the many peoples of the worlds.
Long-term Goals: Jordan wants to go everywhere, visit as many countries as she can. She also desires to go to Soul Society, Hueco Mundo and Hell for her research purposes. She also wishes to meet and sketch all the most famous persons.
General Personality: The Scholar has a positive outlook on life, or at least she does a very good job of putting up a positive front. She is always laughing, drinking and telling jokes, even in the most serious of times. She does not seem to believe that anyone should be enemies based solely on their skin color, religion, species or race. It would be true to say that she sees the best in everyone and everything, regardless of how much of a stretch that 'best' is.
Jordan is consistently finding out new information and traveling and loves finding out new things on any subject. She believes herself a humble student, and the universe is her teacher. Her Fullbring supports this belief and general personality.
But if one looks deeper, she's more complex than that. While she may seem always positive and outgoing, there are many subtle things that suggest otherwise. If one knew, her drinking and partying increased first when she learned of her inability to have children, and yet again after her husband-to-be died. Following these events, the Scholar dropped out of her medical school and abandoned her home, choosing to wander throughout the world with only her book and clothes on her back.
Also, Jordan is obviously deeply ashamed of her body, as she shows very little skin most of the time and when she does, she ensures that it is very dark. Her self-destructive habits can be seen as an ever-worsening breakdown for the once very healthy and genuinely happy woman.
Something Special: Jordan has an incredibly high alcohol tolerance for a woman her age and size. She also was diagnosed as legally infertile; she was told that the odds of her getting pregnant without medical help were less than one in a thousand. It's unclear if the revelation for one led to the other.

Some Music:

The Power

Fullbringer
Fullbring Name: The Scholar's primary Fullbring is "Tome of Truth," while their secondary Fullbring is "Scythe of Lies."

Item of Affinity: Both Fullbrings use the same general object of Affinity, but use seperate parts of the object. The Tome of Truth activates via the actually pages of an old, leather-bound  note-book that holds two hundred pages. The Scythe of Lies is triggered through the skull clasp that holds the book closed. The leather book is roughly the same dimensions as a standard notebook, but contains two hundred pages of white paper. The leather binding folds once to the left over the first page, with another flap folding over that to the right. Clasping the thick book closed is a skull lock set into the leather on the right side, locking at the jaws, with the upper skull on one side of the book and the lower jaw on the back.
Release Phrase: To activate either ability, the Scholar uses the phrase "Discern," followed by the ability name.

Fullbring Appearance
Tome of Truth

Tome of Truth changes the actual note-book into a black book covered in thorny vine designs. The front cover of the book has the face of a Eldritch abomination, a mass of tentacles, teeth and eyes that literally follow you around, making the book appear to be alive. It's unclear if it is sentient. The pages are leathery with age despite the "fresh" appearance of the covers. The back of the book depicts a complicated geometric symbol of inter-connected stars and runes.
Scythe of Lies
The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] Undert10
The Scythe of Lies takes the form of a long metal pole, on one end is a skeleton's torso, including ribs, spine and skull. The Skull acts as the blunt tip of the Scythe, with the long curved blade growing from the base of it. The metal pole is located within the spinal column, and the ribs are fused to the vertebrae. Around the skull is a crown of thorns.
Fullbring Ability:
Tome of Truth
The Tome of Truth has the ability to record a single action of event within one page of the book. The Tome of Truth instantly records the information on the page that Jordan smears with her blood, writing the words in her blood. When Jordan next smears her blood across the page, the blood will bubble and run off the page, creating a phantom of the person or being she recorded, who then replays the action she had witnessed.
By smearing her blood on the page while watching a Shinigami perform Shakkaho, Jordan can use the Kido indirectly by 'replaying' the event at a later time. She can hold up to two hundred events in her Tome, however each event can only be replayed once, making the page ready for a new event.
Scythe of Lies
Scythe of Lies can absorb energy through the blade and redirect it as an energy blast from the skull's jaw. The energy converted by this power can be kinetic, electric, or spiritual in nature. The ability does not enhance the energy output, but redirects it at Jordan's discretion. She can also 'hold' energy within the blade, stockpiling it to release all at once, however it must all be the same 'type' of energy. Once a different energy type is absorbed, the entire stockpile is lost.

Second level Fullbring Appearance: The full power of her Fullbring activates both Fullbring together to create a new Fullbring greater than its parts. This Fullbring is called the "Oracle of Divination," and causes her appearance to change. In this state she loses her clothing and is surrounded by a skeleton armor that encases her full body. Her arms are wrapped with bones, her hands in bone gloves. Her back holds the skeleton's spine along her own, with its ribs going around hers. Her lower body is primarily clad in bone, which moves as she moves. Holding the bones together and to her are ligaments of Reishi, a deep purple color. In one hand she holds the Tome of Truth and the other holds the Scythe of Lies, though their appearances are more garish. Blood drips from the pages of the Tome as if itself was bleeding. In this state she can use their powers together and to greater effect, as the blood for each event stays on the pages.
Second level Fullbring Ability: Oracle of Divination allows both Fullbring to be used together. It also enhances their powers, allowing for events to be replayed continually, and without the use of a phantom. Instead, she herself replays the event and uses the inscribed powers. Her Scythe also can stockpile more types of energy and use them to various effects, such as infusing all the types as one powerful blast, or coating her Scythe in an aura of that energy, such as an aura of electricity that will shock those it comes in contact with, or even wrap a Hollow's Cero around her blade to enhance her attacks.
The skeleton around her as it's own power, augmenting her physical attributes and durability significantly. As the ligaments are made of Reishi, she can extend her reach far beyond what her actual body is able. This means she can fight at length using her scythe and is not limited to close range anymore.

The Past
History: Jordan was born in Oswego, New York, in the United States of America. Her family, her mother and older brother, owned a farm in a small country town. She never knew nor would meet her father. Her life was very average for living in New York's countryside. She would grow up playing outside, helping tend to the farm animals and doing household work before and after school.
When she was four, her mother became pregnant with another girl. Jordan and her older brother Edward took over more of the farm work, with her older brother feeding the animals and mowing the lawn with Jordan raking and watering them. It was simple, and when her sister was born, she was happy with her life.
Jordan enjoyed school, which she began when she was five. She loved the winter, her family, and learning. In her Kindergarten class, Jordan met a boy who would become her best friend for the majority of her life, a boy named Sue. His first name was Jake, but everyone called him Sue because of his last name, Susux. Well, to be more accurate, the other children called him, 'Sue Sucks', but to Jordan he was just Sue.
Sue and Jordan shared class together every year, and the girl grew up spending her time working on the farm and playing mad-up games with her brother and best friend. Jordan excelled in school, unlike her fun-loving friend. Wheres Jordan was serious in her studies from a young age, it was Jake who would pull her from her books to play video-games or run through the fields and sneak extra desserts.
Years passed, with Jordan having another sister and with her, a step-father. A big man who worked in construction, her step-father was an unsavory person, who verbally, physically and emotionally abused the whole family. During the seven years of the marriage, Jordan's brother moved out to live with his father, while her older sister left every weekend for her own father's. As a result, the young Jordan was the one whom responsibility fell to, and with it, much of the abuse that wasn't directed to her mother.
Jordan became very dependent on her friend Jake emotionally and withdrew from her family, living by going through the motions for years, except where it came to the boy called Sue. They sat together at lunch, in class and on the bus, but due to Jordan's home life, never outside of school.
Before Jordan entered the eighth grade, her mother divorced her stepfather, but by then the emotional and mental damage was done. The young girl felt worthless, and allowed her grades to slip, going from top in her class to near the bottom. She never cried, no matter how bullied she was for being weird, or dumb, or anything else that middle school children could think of. While her classmates were just budding into puberty, Jordan retained her childish figure, which only caused more bullying. The only one who didn't mind was Jake, her only true friend. The two of them bonded deeply between the eighth grade and high school, with only Jake's fun-loving personality saving her from wallowing in shame, depression and self-doubt.
Jake had spent high school growing into an athlete, loving soccer, swimming and track and field. He grew up to be handsome and smart as a side effect of spending time with Jordan before her slope into depression. Jordan grew roughly three inches and graduated sixty-second in her class of eighty four. At seventeen, she was just as shut in and quiet as when the abuse had first ended.
After graduating, Jordan and Jake decided to get an apartment together, hours from their hometown, to go to college together. They both went to college together, right after high school, and they both got part-time jobs to pay for their living expenses. Jordan worked in the college's library, sorting files and stocking the shelves. Jake worked at a nearby gas station. Neither made much, but it covered rent and food, coupled with their college commuter's meal plan to eat some meals at the cafeteria, much better than they could afford in the apartment.
That winter, towards the end of the first semester, Jake surprised Jordan by taking her out on his bike after her last class of the day. They didn't go anywhere fancy, only to a fast food restaurant specializing in hamburgers. But, when Jordan was eating her dessert, she noticed something inside the cup of frozen ice-cream and chocolate-covered peanut-butter snacks. She fished it out and dropped her dessert when she saw it was a golden ring with a small diamond set into it.

Jake proposed to Jordan at that fast food restaurant, kneeling in her spilled dessert, laughing as he asked his oldest friend to marry him. Jordan cried, hugging him tightly as she said yes over and over. Though they had not dated, they were the only ones for each other. They both knew it; but Jordan had been so wrapped up in her own self anguish that she had never given it a chance before.
The young woman and her new betrothed went back to their apartment, after cleaning the mess she had made, and fell into each others arms. After many hours the two lay in bed, Jake holding the smaller Jordan, as they watched late night television and talked about how they should have started dating sooner rather than go straight into engagement. They talked about telling their parents. While she didn't mind Jake telling his folks, when he asked how her family would take it, she rolled over on top of him and kissed him hard on the mouth, running her fingers along his chest and stomach, then lower. The topic ended there.
Newly engaged, Jordan began to reapply herself to her schooling and work, going out more often and actually talking to her coworkers and classmates. It was gradual over the second semester, but by the time college ended, she had several good friends, who occasionally would go out with her or come over to play games with her and Jake.
During that Summer, Jordan went to the doctor's, because her period was late and Jake and her did not use protection. Jake didn't know of her visit until he found her crying on their bed that night. When he asked her what was wrong, Jordan tells him what the doctors claimed when her test results came back.
Jordan and Jake held each other, both crying. They were angry, and hurt. Jordan had always said she wanted kids one day, even if she thought she'd be alone. It wasn't fair, Jake told her. So, Jordan told him that there was a possibility of doing it artificially, but they'd need to run tests on Jake first to ensure that he was able as well, and ensure his own health.
By autumn, the two were given the news. While Jake's fertility was not an issue, the basic tests hinted at abnormal white blood cell counts. So the doctors had ordered more tests, which revealed the cause beyond a doubt. Tumors riddled Jake's body, including his lungs, liver and other areas. While most were small enough to operate alone, the sheer number of them posed a serious threat. They couldn't remove the tumors without taking huge sections of his internal organs. Their best option, that Jake's family could afford, seemed to be some experimental drugs and radiation therapy.

Jordan stayed by Jake's side throughout the next semester. The drugs were a radical treatment, and quickly deteriorated his body. By the time snow was falling, Jake was grey skinned and bald, and was losing weight quickly. The radiation certainly didn't improve his physical appearance, but neither Jake nor Jordan cared. The treatment was working, but slowly. It was hard to tell which would win, the cancer or the treatment. The disease and the treatment waged war, and his body was the battle ground.
But Jake never lost his personality. Every day he smiled, told Jordan he loved her and couldn't wait to marry her. He told jokes to her, helped her study, talked and laughed with his doctors. She couldn't understand how such a wonderful, bright person could be dying, wasting away, right when their lives were supposed to be getting better.
For his part, Jake encouraged Jordan to continue her medical training to become a nurse, and to go out with her friends more often. He knew that she shouldn't be wasting her time with him, stuck to an oxygen tank and his bed. She should be living her life and when he was better, they'd make up for lost time.
When Jordan was twenty, after Christmas, Jake went to the doctor's for another experimental treatment, hopefully the last for a while. Jake never came home. Jordan received a phone call late at night. There had been something wrong with the dosage of medicine they gave Jake. They did all they could. They were very sorry.

Jordan didn't leave the apartment for the entire second semester. She didn't go to work. She didn't go to class. She didn't even go to Jake's funeral, held by his family back home. She only left to get a meager meal and alcohol. She wasn't twenty-one yet, but she knew many clubs who didn't care. Some how, Jake's death had to have been her fault. There must have been something she could have done. Maybe if she was with him, maybe if she pestered the doctors more about his treatment, this wouldn't have happened.
Jordan wasn't sure what day it was, or entirely sure what month, when there was a hesitant knock on her door. Jordan was sitting in the little alcove next to the door, staring at the book Jake had gotten her the week before he died. Leather bound and closed with a skull clasp, Jake had gotten her it from an antique dealer, but had the pages replaced with fresh new pages. She was going to use it as her personal notebook for her med classes, but now it just stared at her, as it had every day since he died.
"Jordan... I know you're in there. Jake... He talked about you all the time on the phone. I really wish we had spent more time together, us and you," said the person on the other side of the door. It was Jake's mom. Jordan had only met her a few times before, but she was a short, kind lady who had her kids later in life. "Sweetie, I know you're upset. We all are. But you can't shut yourself away, okay? It's not what he would have wanted for you. He was always so bright and outgoing, it would break his heart to know you were so alone in there. And you know we already felt like you were part of the family, Jordan dear. If you want... You can come stay with us for a while."
Jordan sat in the dark apartment for a long time, not talking. After a while, Jake's mom said she had a pie and was leaving it in front of the door. It was some time before Jordan crawled to the door and pulled it open. The pie was sitting right there and she pulled it into the room, letting the door swing closed. Without turning on the lights, or even getting a fork, Jordan unwrapped the pie and started breaking off pieces of it to nibble at.
Tears rolled down her face as she ate the pie in silence. Chocolate creme was Jake's favorite.

The next day, Jordan gathered any money she had left in the apartment. She went across town on Jake's old bike, pulling into a thrift store. There, she bought a pair of dress pants, a nice jacket, vest, shirt and undershirt combo, a bowler's hat, a length of ribbon, a black dress and lastly, some matching under garments, stuff much nicer than her normal wear.
Driving back to her apartment, Jordan tore off her clothes and dressed in the new clothes she just got. Her long white hair was a mess and covered her upper face. Looking at herself in the mirror, she realized that even in a dress she didn't look feminine, so she settled on the other outfit. It was better suited anyways.
Dressed in her new clothes, Jordan forced a smile. His mother was right; Jake would never have wanted this. She should honor him by being like him. And so Jordan threw open her door, glanced back at her apartment and prepared to start her life anew. And hesitated.
On impulse, she grabbed three notebooks, including the one Jake had bought her, and a good pen. Tucking them into her bag, she left. She told nobody where she was going. Or that she was going. She left her keys, her purse, Jake's bike. And she started walking. And she never stopped.

When she was twenty years old, Jordan, now going exclusively by the name Scholar, was approached by a stranger. She had be walking through yet another rural town that was really just a collection of farms and the odd house here and there. The road was dirt, and she couldn't recall when the last time a car had passed her.
That's the primary reason she had heard the SUV approaching slowly behind her. As she so frequently did, she carried the leather notebook in her left hand as she walked. The car wasn't passing her after four minutes of following, despite the road being clear and dry. It stayed a distance behind. After another hundred feet, Scholar released her Fullbring, her Scythe of Lies, turning while twirling the scythe through the air around her, letting its blade build momentum before releasing it as a concussive blast, blowing out the SUV's front tires and forcing it to halt.
Scholar stood, her Scythe in a defensive stance, body turned to the side. She didn't know why, but she had been followed recently, not just on this road, but in other towns, other states. And she had called off drinking for the last five days so she could be at her peak just for this. She was pissed, and wanted answers.
The person who got out, not of the driver's seat, but from the back, told her not to attack, they were unarmed. They just wanted to talk, they claimed. Scholar demanded answers as to why she was being followed, so the person told her they wanted to be sure.
Sure of what? That Scholar was a Fullbringer, a term she had learned several months ago. The stranger told her they represented an organization called Daedalus, and that they wanted her to join them as part of a highly secret paramilitary organization.
The two talked for hours, Scholar eventually joining the stranger inside the SUV. They wanted her to become something called Ouroboros, a name she recognized as having significance with alchemy. The stranger said their Ouroboros was in charge of intelligence, and they needed a wise, traveled person to fill the position. Somebody who could go anywhere, and talk to anyone without leaving a trail, much like Scholar herself had been doing since Sue's death. By the end of the conversation, Scholar had only one question. Who are you?
"Why... I'm the Phoenix."

Roleplaying Sample: The Great Wall of China. Huge. Beautiful. Majestic. With so many fucking stairs.
Scholar stepped up yet another flight of ancient stone stairs. The Daedalus member, dressed in her formal suit, was drenched in sweat. She looked to the group of teenagers she had joined, all panting. In a very rough German, she said "Whose idea was it to run the whole Wall again?" They all laughed, panting and breathing hard.
She smiled, before standing upright and looking at the watch on her left wrist. "You all go on ahead, I'll join up later."
Once the kids were gone, Scholar clicked her wristwatch, seeing a shadowed face appear. Her Fury, somebody she hadn't seen in person since the last mandatory meeting back in Headquarters. In English, she spoke to her wrist.
"China was a bust. There's nothing supernatural about this wall, though there were some very old Pluses hanging around that could have been Fullbringers. Their bodies must have been used as mortar during the construction.  I'll try to get to the Imperial City, but I'm certain that'll be a dead end as well. If China had an organized supernatural military force, I would have detected it by now after months crisscrossing the country. The only Fullbringers I've found had been dormant, and the Shinigami presence is getting pretty hot. Hollows are hunting in force here, though I haven't found their target. I'll be coming back by the end of the month; before you ask, no, I'm probably not going to call in advance. Just don't let the guards shoot at me again. Honestly, tell Leana to relax. Our cover's good, no need for their men to be so trigger-happy. Ouroboros out."
As per the norm, she didn't give the Fury at chance to speak. They were smart, but a smart person knew when to keep their mouth shut. Scholar shook her head. "Enough work..."
With a laugh, she started running back along the wall.

The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] Empty Re: The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer]

Post by The Wandering Scholar Mon Jun 20, 2016 6:18 pm

In any form
Soul Pull- Earth: By Pulling on the soul of the earth under her feet, The Scholar causes it to rise up as a barrier in front of her.
Soul Pull- Water: By Pulling on the soul of water, Scholar can accomplish tasks ranging from aiding herself in drinking the water, purifying it, or if the quantity from the source is great enough, shoot water at a target like a hose.
Soul Pull- Metal: By Pulling on the soul of nearby metal, Scholar can bend it to create a shield for herself.
Tome of Truth
Inscribe: The most basic power of the Tome of Truth, Inscribe allows Scholar to record any event she witnesses onto a single page of the Tome by smearing her blood across it. The event may be a technique, an ability or something as mundane as a conversation.
Reveal: The second part of Inscribe, Reveal is activated by bleeding across an already marked page. In this form, Reveal creates a Phantom of the event, which is complete in visual and sound of all living entities recorded. Any technique or ability replayed is used to full effect by the Phantom, though The Scholar can summon the Phantom in the direction the ability should be used. The technique activates as if it was occurring now, interacting with events in the present. Each page refreshes after being used, ready to be filled by Inscribe after a single usage.
Soul Pull- Flora: By Pulling on the souls of plants while using her Tome, Scholar can cause plants to grow wildly and control their movements, such as causing vines or roots to tangle up her foes, or for trees to suddenly grow between her and an adversary, creating a barrier of nature.
Scythe of Lies
Receive: This ability allows the Scythe to absorb any amount of energy directed towards it. By absorbing the kinetic energy of a foe's blow, it cancel's the force behind it effortlessly. However, it can only absorb a single kind of energy at a time. If an electricity covered sword clashes with the Scythe it can absorb either the electricity or the kinetic energy, but will still be affected by the other. This power can absorb Kido as well, but only one specific Kido at a time. The same goes for Cero and Ballas. Even if the energy comes from two sources or persons, as long as the energy itself, as in still a Cero or the same Kido number, they can be absorbed together. However, if the energy is all the same, it can continually absorb the energy, stockpiling it.
Return: Return works with Receive by taking all the stockpiled energy and releasing it all at once from the skull's jaw on the Scythe. The blast itself resembles a Cero or similar technique, but composed entirely from the energy used. It's power is equal to the combined total power of all the different attacks she had stockpiled.
Soul Pull- Bone: A Soul Pull technique only active while using her Scythe, Scholar Pulls on the souls of any bones in her immediate area, including her own. This can allow her to continue using broken limbs, or harden her bones to minimize injury in the first place. She can also cause bones to change their natural shape, using creating shivs or spikes from them.
Striking Bone: This technique uses Soul Pull- Bone to remove the bones in her forearms and hands, forcing them out through a small slit near the elbow. The bones stretch out and form gauntlets, which wrap around the now boneless forearms and hands protectively, flattening the bones and stretching them. The bones are also altered to prevent her from feeling pain, by placing the pain receptive tissues within the bones, leaving only the hard material outside. This technique is used to protect her flesh and blood vessels, as well as allow her unarmed combat without feeling pain. Her fists are enhanced by bone spikes. She must consciously use Bone to manipulate and move the gauntlets, due to not having any tendons to move them with.
Striking Bone- Knight: An offshoot of Striking Bone, this technique begins the same way. However, by using Soul Pull- Metal, Scholar pulls any surrounding metal of her choosing to her and plates the bones in the metal, enhancing their hardness and durability. The metal is attached by roots, which prevents them from falling off without her conscious need to use Soul Pull- Metal to hold them in place.
Oracle of Divination
Oracle's Zone: This general ability is how she manipulates the bones that surround her body. By extending the Reishi ligaments between the bones, she can greatly increase her reach, to a maximum distance of sixty feet. The Oracle also augments her physical strength and durability by increasing her overall mass and potential force. Anything touched by the Oracle's bones is considered to be touching Scholar as well.
Soul Pull- Flesh: An ability obtained in her Oracle state only, Flesh allows her to change the physical properties of any skin or flesh she has physical contact with including her own. She can manipulate its hardness, thickness, elasticity, permeability, or texture. This technique can be used to rejuvenate dying flesh, or loosely hold severed flesh together. She can also cause flesh to stiffen, harden and loose its ability to stretch, which can be used to devastating effect if she happens to grab the enemy's throat with this in mind. By turning her flesh's texture and color to match that of the air, Scholar can turn herself invisible. However, she must also turn her bones the same otherwise she will appear as a walking skeleton. She can also turn only her skin clear, making only her muscles visible. Alternatively by turning her muscles clear, her internal organs are also visible. She must turn all of this clear, and her bones, for proper invisibility.
Soul Pull- Beast: This technique allows Scholar to pull on the souls of nearby animals, allowing her to incite stampedes or cause aggression towards her enemies. Alternatively, she can instill a need to protect in the animal's mind, making them protectors of a place or person. She cannot use Beast on any fauna with human-like intelligence including some primates, dolphins, and any Species.
Enhanced Tome of Truth: Oracle of Divination enhances the powers of her Tome, allowing Scholar to use any ability or technique inscribed on their pages herself, without worrying about the one-use limit. She can cause the Tome to vanish and appear at will in her left hand.
Enhanced Scythe of Lies: Oracle enhances the Scythe's base powers, allowing it to simultaneously stockpile multiple types of energy at once. It also gains the power to coat the Scythe in this energy, enhancing it's attributes depending on the energies used. She can also release multiple energy types at once as a combined blast, such as an electrically enhanced Cero, or multiple Kido released as one. She can cause the Scythe to vanish and appear at will in her right hand.
Enhanced Soul Pull- Earth: Her ability to Pull the soul of earth is enhanced to the point where she can draw on select minerals in the ground without effort, rather than hauling up whatever is available.
Enhanced Soul Pull- Water: Her ability to Pull the soul of water is enhanced to the point where she can pull water from the air to supplement what is already around her. While this decreases the humidity in the area, it also gives her more water to manipulate. She can also freeze water in her Oracle state.
Enhanced Soul Pull- Metal: Her ability to Pull the soul of metal objects is enhanced to the point where she can draw out impurities in metal that weakens it, enhancing it's strength. Combined with her Bone and Flesh, if she has the time and a physical hold on a Zanpakuto and the raw materials, she can manifest their Zanpakuto spirit into a tangible body.
Enhanced Soul Pull- Flora: Her ability to Pull the soul of plants is enhanced to the point where she can cause rapid mutation in plants, reviving once extinct species of flora using their leftover organic matter in the ground.
Enhanced Soul Pull- Bone: Her ability to Pull the soul of bones is enhanced to the point where she can completely grow new bones from her existing ones, allowing her to mutate her skeletal structure into any conceivable shape. Doing so is extremely painful, however. Combined with her Flesh, she can grow new limbs or 'attach' hacked off limbs, to be healed properly latter. She can manipulate the bones of her Oracle ability itself, causing her exo-skeleton's limbs to grow or change shape, or create new limbs. Using Bone, Scholar can change the texture and color of her bones, including Oracle's exo-skeleton. By changing the texture to be like that of air and the color to become clear, she can turn the skeleton around her completely invisible, however it is still tangible, meaning people can touch it or collide with it as well.
White Bone Garden: A technique based on an anime character that Jordan loves, this uses her enhanced Soul Pull- Pull to create a vast root system underground out of any bones, most often the bones on the Oracle's feet. These roots then sprout more roots that shoot upwards, stretching to twenty feet above ground, further growing thorns of bone off each shoot. The bone shoots are hard and very sharp, and can eviscerate anyone within thirty yard of where she begins the technique.

Everything seems fine here....except you are missing the roleplaying sample. So without that i won't be able to give you a ranking, but once you get that you are approved and i'll happily give you captain ranking.

The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] Empty Re: The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer]

In any form
Soul Pull- Earth: By Pulling on the soul of the earth under her feet, The Scholar manipulates it for various purposes.

  • Barrier: By pulling on the soul of the rock and ground, Scholar creates a plain, rectangular stone wall in front of her.
  • Great Reflecting Maiden: A more advanced and powerful version of Barrier, this creates a massive barrier between Scholar and her foe made from the hardest minerals in the ground. The barrier is shaped like a woman holding a rectangular mirror in front of her.
  • Abyssal Canyon: Scholar holds her hand to the ground for several moments before cracking the earth, forcing several sections to rise upward similar to tectonic plates colliding. She then smashes them together.

  • Instant Weaponize: By pulling on the soul of metal, whether in its natural ore states, or in its processed forms, Scholar creates a weapon of her choosing. It's usually either a spear or a scythe.

  • Wall of Thorns: By pulling on the soul of crawling plants or vines, Scholar creates a wide and tall barrier. She typically uses roses or thorny vines, but any kind of plant can be used.
  • Prehistoric Growth: By pulling on the soul of ancient seeds and plant matter in the ground, Scholar causes them to blossom and grow to full size in moments.
  • Zero Harvest: A simple technique that causes plants to grow and bear their fruit within moments.
  • Animation: A very deadly technique, Scholar grabs the victim by the throat, laying a hand on their stomach at the same time. She then forces the plant matter in their stomach to mature and grow, killing them from the inside out.

The bones stretch out and form gauntlets, which wrap around the now boneless forearms and hands protectively, flattening the bones and stretching them. This technique is used to protect her flesh and blood vessels, as well as allow her unarmed combat without feeling pain. Her fists are enhanced by bone spikes. She must consciously use Bone to manipulate and move the gauntlets, due to not having any tendons to move them with.

The Oracle also augments her physical strength and durability by increasing her overall mass and potential force. Anything touched by the Oracle's bones is considered to be touching Scholar as well.

Using Bone, Scholar can change the texture and color of her bones, including Oracle's exo-skeleton. By changing the texture to be like that of air and the color to become clear, she can turn the skeleton around her completely invisible, however it is still tangible, meaning people can touch it or collide with it as well.

The bone shoots are hard and very sharp, and can eviscerate anyone within thirty yard of where she begins the technique.
Ouroboros Form: The ultimate culmination of her Soul Pull allows Jordan to complete change her shape into that of a multi-headed serpent. Normal conditions require four hours for the change and seven hours of rest afterwards, however she can shorten this into minutes on the condition her body falls into a week-long coma the next time she falls unconscious. Nothing can shorten this period further aside from further mastery of this technique.

The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] Empty Re: The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer]

Post by The Wandering Scholar Wed Apr 17, 2019 7:36 pm

The Basics

Name: Jordan Stone
Aliases: Jordan uses the names "The Wandering Scholar" or just "The Scholar," though it's often abbreviated to simply "Scholar."
Actual Age: Jordan is twenty two years old.
Organization and Rank: The Scholar is a wandering spirit, going wherever they please and their only allegiance is to knowledge, drink and good times. However, Scholar is a Disciple of the Dragon Ouroboros. This cases her to work among Daedalus in pursuit of her research.

The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] 22624510

Height: The Scholar stands in at five feet and five inches tall.
Weight: The Wandering Scholar is only a hundred and ten pounds, give or take.
Hair color: Their hair is stark white and completely devoid of color.
Eye color: The Scholar has emerald colored markings in place of irises. The markings resemble a serpent eating its own tail. She has no discernible pupils. She hides these brands behind her long hair.
General Appearance: Jordan has long, white hair with messy bangs that normally cover the upper half of her face. She has a very slim figure, with clear, pale skin. Her eyes have no irises or pupils, instead bearing a seal in each eye. The seal is emerald green like her irises used to be, and resembles a serpent eating itself. she has one scar across her nose, diagonally across her face.

Her most notable bad trait is that Scholar is consumed by a hunger for knowledge that can never be sated. She will cross any moral lines, break any taboos, if it means understanding something just a little bit better. She does not flinch away from live experimentation like a comic-book mad scientist, but instead uses her vibrant personality and powerful Soul Manipulation abilities to convince her victims to want her to experiment on them.
In essence, Scholar wants to know everything there is to know, no matter the cost.
As Ouroboros' Disciple, Scholar has a brand in her eyes marking her as the Dragon's property and student. She also bears his desire for knowledge, and quite literally cannot stop herself as she sinks further and further down a dark path in her pursuit of it.

Some Music:

The Power

When Jordan was eighteen, after Christmas, Jake went to the doctor's for another experimental treatment, hopefully the last for a while.

When she was nineteen years old, Jordan, now going exclusively by the name Scholar, was wandering through Japan when it was struck by an earthquake. She'd been meandering the Kinpōzan Prefectural Natural Park, when the ground split open and she fell, plunging into a hidden cave.
The young woman gashed her face as she fell, and her one eye did not work. She couldn't see the surface and had no idea how far she fell, but an ambient light filled the cave. Bio-luminescent moss gave off just enough light to find her way around. As she struggled to find a way out, she came across what at first appeared to be a long stone, but as she approached she realized it was massive in scale. Etched into its surface were grooves, and she could just barely make out a pattern of coloration on it.
But then she heard a sound, and the stone began to move. She shouted, falling over as it shifted, revealing a large monstrous snake's head. Scholar closed her eye, waiting to be eaten...

But it never happened. Instead, she found the serpent could speak, and it claimed to sense a hunger in her, a thirst for answers. It's tongue darted out, licking her face and blood, and she shouted again as her eyes began to burn, but as she rapidly blinked, she found she could see just fine. And that she was back on the surface, alone.
Information flooded her mind, and with a determined pace, she set off. A single word filled her mind, "Daedalus."

Daedalus turned out to be a secret organization of people with powers like hers. Initially, they pretended to not know what she was talking about when she approached the secret entrance, but she parted her hair, showing the guards her eyes. They stumbled in their haste to let her through.
Scholar felt like she had no control of herself as she walked with practiced grace down hallways she'd never seen. She found herself deep underground, in a laboratory, reading a dossier. Words spilled from her lips, speaking to a person calling themselves Ouroboros, that she was the chosen Disciple, that she would succeed where the other had failed. That the other Fullbringer simply wasn't trying hard enough to create a better soldier.
As Scholar spoke, she was reading his notes, and a corner of her mind filled with horror. They were experimenting on children! That was... that was just wrong!
But, compelled, the woman moved past the bewildered Ouroboros, to the rooms the children were kept. More words poured from her lips, phrases she didn't recognize, as she lifted a scalpel off the table. That quiet corner of her mind nearly passed out as Scholar began her own experiments. Her whole body was filled with the desire to create a better Fullbringer, one who was undyingly loyal, powerful, and could make calculated choices by themselves.
The experiments lasted a long time, and by the end, the quiet part of her mind was shattered. So many subjects expired. She did her best to make the children comfortable as she cut them apart and fused them back together, using her Fullbring in ways she never thought possible. She was especially focused on two individuals, Melinda and Linda, a pair of girls who had bonded during the Ouroboros' experiments. As the number of subjects dwindled, the three grew rather close.
Though Scholar experimented on the adolescents daily, she made sure they felt no pain, and even played games and told jokes to the two girls. She tried to make the experiments, as varied as they were, seem like games to them. She had genuinely liked the girls, but her true motives were that she thought them the most likely to awaken a great power through the experiments.
Of the two girls, their progress is amazing. They've grown close to Scholar, and she seems to be making them a matched pair by deepening their bonds of friendship. She had high hopes for Linda, who she thought would make the perfect soldier, though Melinda was a close enough second to be serviceable to Linda's future career.
But, eventually, an accident caused Linda's death. The already barely stable Melinda seemed to break, as Scholar's experiments on her doubled. The girl seemed to talk to Linda, and Scholar did as well, knowing that if she kept the girl's fantasy intact, Melinda, now calling herself Mel, would want the 'three' of them to stay together forever.
After the death of Linda, Mel had awoken a dangerous Fullbring. Scholar's continued experiments were done to find a safe way to deal with it, and she permitted the girl's ability to burn her to better understand its effects. More than once, she had to use her advanced Soul Manipulation powers to regrow her hands, and the only solutions she could find were water based.
Eventually, she began to seek a method to outright prevent Mel from using Fullbring, rather than contain it. She discovered an ore that suppressed Spiritual Energy, and by artificially replicating it, she wove fibers to create clothing for the girl. Until then, anything that touched the girl's skin was dissolved by the acidic oils she secreted constantly. Only time it was safe to touch her was in water, and then only briefly.
During this time, for some reason, Mel's attachment to Scholar reached newfound heights as she became obsessed with being the center of Scholar's attention. Scholar had spent days straight with the girl, assuring her she'd find a solution. Regardless, it became evident that the two cared deeply for one another, for very different reasons.
But, soon after the artificial clothes were produced, a man named Pheonix shut down the experiments, and forbade them to ever be continued.

Since then, Scholar has furthered her studies and research, though never again with such obsession. Her true personality returned, and she remains in contact with her previous test subject. While working in the Ouroboros base, she has also abruptly left on several occasions to seek out some research material. On one such occasion, she returned with a rare hybrid individual, whom she introduced as her new research assistant.

Roleplaying Sample: Scholar rolled her shoulders. She'd just recently returned from overseas, exploring the Australian Outback in search of a rumors and undiscovered species of animals. She'd arrived back at the base early in the morning, or extremely late at night, and immediately headed to her rooms. She rubbed sleep from her eyes as she ran herself a bath, undressing sinking to her shoulders in the rather spacious tub. Steam filled her bathroom as she relaxed, closing her eyes falling half asleep.
At some point, she heard a splash as water rushed over her from the far side and Scholar sat up without opening her eyes. "Well, come over here, Mel. I'll wash your hair before bed." Scholar didn't have to look to know it was the shapeshifter. After all, nobody else could slither their way under the doors to her rooms, or would decide to join the mad scientist in the bathtub at three in the morning.

I cast a vote for Captain tier

Suggest separating the Redeeming/Negative qualities into their component parts E.g
Life of the party -
lover-
Honest-

With elaborations for each instead of having everything in one paragraph. Would make it easier to read. Same goes for the Likes and Dislikes.

As Taiyo said in earlier post, a roleplaying sample might also boost this to next tier

The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer] Empty Re: The Wandering Scholar [Fullbringer]

Post by The Wandering Scholar Thu Sep 05, 2019 4:42 pm

  • Instant Weaponize: By pulling on the soul of metal, whether in its natural ore states, or in its processed forms, Scholar creates a weapon of her choosing. It's usually either a spear or a scythe.

  • Striking Bone: This technique uses Soul Pull- Bone to remove the bones in her forearms and hands, forcing them out through a small slit near the elbow.
  • Striking Bone- Knight: An offshoot of Striking Bone, this technique begins the same way.
